About First Drop Change Foundation
We started First Drop Change Foundation - a Section 8 company - in 2021, with the intent to use the knowledge and experience gained from our work so far, to help different sections of the society. Through this foundation, we endeavour to undertake funded projects and work with different groups, including the underprivileged, in the society. The vision is to tap into the power that Applied Theatre and Expressive arts possess, and use this to enhance the ability of people to be more aware of their own self and their emotions, develop essential skills for life and have greater harmony in their interpersonal interactions.
The roots of First Drop Change Foundation were planted through First Drop Theatre LLP which we started in 2015.
What we aim to do:

To use theatre and art as a vehicle for the development of socially and economically underprivileged groups

Providing theatre as a tool of expression for groups and individuals trying to integrate with the mainstream

To create awareness on socially relevant topics

To utilize theatre and arts for the benefit of healthcare professionals - doctors, nurses, caregivers - to be better prepared to deal with stress and strain of their professionals lives.

To conduct deep research into the field of mental health and wellness using theatre and arts as a medium.

To train social workers in the use of theatre as a medium for community and individual healing and self-care including during times of rehabilitation
